\nWhat: Between Feb 2007 and March 2008, Sean Aiken completed an epic journey around North America, working 52 jobs in 52 weeks.<\/p>\n

Why: When Sean graduated from college, he didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know what he wanted to do for a career (or what he wanted to do with his life!). \u00c2\u00a0But instead of taking the first job that came along, he found a unique way of figuring it out: The One Week Job Project.<\/p>\n

How it worked: Anyone, anywhere, could offer Sean a job for one week, and contact him through the oneweekjob.com website. \u00c2\u00a0He tried everything: Bungee Instructor, Dairy Farmer, Advertising Executive, Baker, Stock Trader, Firefighter, and more. Wherever he could find work, he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d hitch a ride there, find a couch to crash on, and immerse himself in whatever profession was at hand.<\/p>\n

Thousands of people began following his journey, looking to him for inspiration in their own lives. The media covered the story extensively: The New York Times, Rachael Ray Show, Good Morning America, CNN, 20\/20, CBC Newsworld, FOX News and countless others.<\/p>\n

Sean realized he hadn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t started on his own journey. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d started a movement. \u00c2\u00a0Now at the end of his journey, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s time to share the complete story and the lessons learned along the way.<\/p>\n

Sean has since written a book, The One-Week Job Project, is working on a film about his experience, and has started the One Week Job Program.<\/p>\n

About The One Week Job Program<\/strong><\/p>\n

The One-Week Job Program is designed to provide others the opportunity to participate in a similar experience to Sean\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s original journey.<\/p>\n

The first semester of the program is currently taking place, with winners from Canada and the United States. \u00c2\u00a0The three \u00e2\u20ac\u0153jobbers\u00e2\u20ac\u009d of the inaugural semester will work 8 different One Week Job\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s of their choosing, and will receive a $3000 grant towards their travel expenses.<\/p>\n

Inaugural Participant Amanda Lowe is spending one of her jobs with Reframe Marketing, a strategic planning and business marketing company based in Vancouver. \u00c2\u00a0This event is her first event-planning project, and she\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s looking forward to sharing the program with you!<\/p>\n
